Clinton County

An abundance of land, water, and available civilian labor force makes Clinton County an extremely attractive area for economic development.  Clinton County has a diverse economic base with industrial, distribution, and service operations.  With access to Interstate 80 and Route 220, companies operating in the County are within a day’s trucking of 80 million consumers.  Many small businesses thrive in the area, drawing from a strong, reliable workforce.  The major employers include Woolrich, First Quality Products, and Lock Haven University.  Clinton County is also home to several major modular home building companies and chemical producing companies.  As the seat of county government and home to a state university and numerous businesses, Lock Haven serves as the center of commerce and activity in Clinton County.
